The full remodel of a Classic Pied-À-Terre overlooking the Mediterranean Ocean.

This is the remodel of my family home, nestled in the beautiful Jounieh Bay in Lebanon. Our home embodies years of family tradition and heritage that eagerly await our return upon the holidays.
The apartment itself comprises of 400 square meters of living space and 360 degree views of the Mediterranean Ocean and Mount Lebanon.
To maximize these stunning views, we enclosed the northern and southern facades with pivoting glass windows, creating inviting balcony spaces. We preserved the home's classic architectural heritage by retaining the original Calacatta Marble floors and plaster pillars. For a modern touch, we redesigned the recessed ceiling and lighting, giving each space a unique geometric design. We layered lighting—using indirect lights, spotlights, and chandeliers—all with individual controls for a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
For furniture, we chose a neutral off-white scheme, adding burgundy and gold accents through chairs, pillows, and throws. Prioritizing elegance, we selected timeless Thomasville pieces and combined them with Middle-Eastern-style items from local vendors.

Curated Art: a testament of local talent & craftsmanship
The art in our home is a collection of art pieces and sculptures which we curated over the years from local artisans.

We were drawn to hand-sculpted art inspired by nature and classic motifs. We chose Romanesque and Greek pieces that lend a feminine, delicate touch to our home.
These pieces represent a tale of time and are a true testament to the local Lebanese talent and craftsmanship.

The perfect design for family gatherings & entertaining
Our main focus when re-designing our home was to create the perfect ambiance for family gatherings and entertaining.

We primarily designed the formal room as a space for entertainment. We wanted the space to feel elegant to host guests, yet comfortable enough for family gatherings.
From Christmas carols to toasts and celebrations, this Pied-À-Terre holds a lot of memories that remain in our hearts and await our return.
