The full remodel of a Contemporary Walk-In Closet For The Modern Woman.
This is the remodel of a 350 sq ft en-suite, walk-in closet inside an ultra-contemporary home in Beirut. The closet is located in an open-plan layout, adjacent to the master bedroom, and is steps away from the rear courtyard, which is fully dedicated to the owner's wing.
Our client commissioned a custom, ensuite closet to complement her bold and youthful personality. The goal was to create a space where the modern woman could prepare for the day in style. We strategically designed a full suite of built-in cabinets to house all her clothes with dedicated spaces for her long gowns, coats, shoes, and handbag collection. We also designed a central island for makeup preparation and custom drawers to store her precious jewelry and accessories.
The existing architecture of the home is very contemporary, and we softened the coset space through pastel tones and charming accents. In an effort to blend the indoor and outdoor spaces, we took inspiration from the surrounding nature and opted for a green color scheme. As per the FF&E, we played on a juxtaposition of eras and specified Mid-Century-Modern wall art, a sofa, a chandelier, and a geometric rug.
For the built-in cabinetry, we kept it simple by specifying soft oak wood and brass hardware. For the central island, we went for lacquered base cabinets in a pastel green tone and a Calacatta Oro quartz countertop.
